Expand your relief printmaking practice and explore the possibilities of color in this hands-on multicolor linoleum block printing workshop with Mad Hare Press. Participants will build upon the fundamentals of relief printmaking while learning how to plan an image for multiple colors, carve their design, register paper, and layer printed colors to create a finished composition. Through demonstrations and guided instruction, participants will explore how color, registration, transparency, and the natural variations of hand printing influence the final image. The workshop encourages both careful planning and experimentation, embracing the subtle differences that make every hand-pulled print unique 

Some previous relief printmaking experience is helpful, however, no previous printmaking or carving experience is required. Participants are encouraged to bring a planned design, sketches, photographs, or simple visual references that can be adapted into a multicolor relief print. All necessary printmaking tools and materials will be provided.
