Take your apple growing skills to the next level with hands-on grafting practice. You’ll learn the fundamentals of grafting, including tool safety and sharpening, and try out your technique using willow sticks.
Notes to Participants: The first 30 minutes of class is for sharpening tools. Bring grafting knife.
Spindle Apple Trees: Taking Home Your Tree
Saturday, April 25 | 10—11 a.m.
Put your grafting knowledge to work and take home three young apple trees to start your own mini orchard. You’ll receive scions of Pristine, William’s Pride, and Liberty, three disease-resistant varieties perfect for fresh eating.
