The Gardens on Spring Creek strives to deepen the connections between northern Colorado and our natural ecosystems by fostering community, improving health, and inspiring stewardship. We firmly believe that the most powerful learning is shaped through experience. Participants smell, dissect, sort, plant, cook, explore, experiment, get messy, take risks, play, and — yes — fail, too. There are numerous mental and physical health benefits, behavioral interventions, and lifelong impacts when we increase the time we spend in the natural world. You can teach anything in a garden, and we do!
Program Impact
Through Read and Seed, Spring Break Camp, School's Out Day Camp, Summer Camp, Yoga and Tai Chi and the myriad adult education and wellness classes we offer, The Gardens aims to reach people at all stages of life. Something as simple as a seed can be transformative. They say “kids who grow tomatoes, eat tomatoes” - and adults do, too!
